Mission Statement

The Alliance provides on-going training and networking for all people who care for, educate, and/or support the needs of young children.

The Beresford Area Early Childhood Alliance (BAECA) was formed in October of 1998 when the Beresford Community and the Beresford School System was given ideas on how the area daycare providers could join forces to help promote the safe-keeping of the area children.

Members of BAECA gather monthly to promote the safety and welfare of the children in their care.  Workshops on child development, nutrition, communication, safety, CPR, educational activities as well as business aspects of tax preparation, budgeting and licensing are a few of the topics addressed.

The Beresford Area Early Childhood Alliance encourages everyone involved with children to join their efforts.  Benefits of joining the organization include CPR and First Aid certification, free listing in the alliance directory, professional networking and support and information on becoming a licensed daycare and attendance at alliance offered workshops.

The Beresford Area Early Childhood Alliance is sponsored by the Beresford Community, the South Dakota Department of Social Services and Active Members.
