The Beresford Fire Department was formed in 1899. In 1999, the fire department celebrated 100 years of service to the Beresford Area. Currently the Beresford Fire Department has 2 pumpers, 1 brush truck, 2 water tankers, a rescue truck, a 4x4 rescue truck and a pumper/ladder truck. The department also has Jaws of Life. |

| The Beresford Fire Department consists of 40 volunteers who respond to fire and other emergencies in the Beresford Area. During 1999, the Beresford Fire Department responded to over 100 different emergencies. From house fires to car accidents, the Beresford Fire Department is always ready to respond. |
