#1 Games are a maximum of 20 minutes long. Games in mid play are stopped at 20 minutes.

#2. Players are divided into two teams.

#3.  A colored team flag is placed in a flagpole in front of each team’s home base .

#4 To start the game each player must be behind his or her home base. Each judge will blow the whistle when each team is ready. When the 2nd whistle is blown the game will start.

#5. Boundaries of the field are approximately 10 feet from the tree lines and are marked by flags. Fences can not be crossed. Failure to play in bounds will result in being sidelined for the game

#6. The first team to capture their opponents flag and bring it back and place it in their own flagpole, without getting tagged out, wins.

#7. Players are eliminated from the game by being tagged out (marked with a paintball direct hit).

#8. When a player is tagged he or she must yell “I’m Out” , take their arm band off, hold their marker above their head and walk directly off the field to the designated sideline. If you are carrying a team flag you must drop it. Failure to acknowledge a direct hit or wiping off paint will get you banned from the field for that day. Remember paintball is an “honor sport” if everyone plays by the rules, everyone has fun. Cheaters ruin everyone’s fun.

#9. Splatter and bouncing balls do not send you out of the game. If in doubt, ask a referee for a “Paint-check”.

#10. If you think you’ve tagged your opponent and your opponent is not leaving the game  call for a “Paint-check”. The judge, at his own discretion, will check the player for paint and may declare the player neutral. A neutral player can not shoot or be shot at and is in effect an inactive player. A judge will decide if the neutral player will continue to play or is out. The overuse of calling a paint-check to assist you in strategy will get you called out.

#11. When a whistle is blown, after a game has started, all play must stop. The referee will yell “game on” to restart the game.

#12. After recapturing your own flag you can not advance towards your opponent’s home base, you must return your flag to its flagpole.

#13. Flags must be in reach of your hand or in a flagpole at all times. Flags can not be hidden at any time. They can be passed among players.

#14. A tagged player cannot assist his teammates in play. He cannot communicate, or share equipment and balls.
