GOGGED : A direct hit on the goggles

 

SPLOOGE: The goo that results when a paintball breaks open inside a barrel.

 

BOUNCER: A bouncer is a paintball that hits a player or his equipment but does not split open.

 

FLANK: The area to the left or right of a player or a group of players. “To flank”  means to move to the left or right side of an opponent or opposing squad to get a better angle on them.

 

FLOATER: A player on a team who has no set position. He or she moves around the field plugging up the holes.

 

NEWBIE: A player new to the  sport of paintball.

 

PAINTCHECK:  A check by someone other than the player who was hit to determine if a paintball broke on a player. A paintcheck can be done by a teammate, an opponent or a referee.

GUPPY: A long tube with a removable flip top that is used to carry paint onto the field, in a harness, for reloading.
